Vision
Gentlemen By Choice Community Development Corporation’s vision is to educate, equip, and empower youth to exceed the complex demands of an ever-changing world.
Mission
Gentlemen By Choice’s primary mission is "developing tomorrow’s leaders today." The secondary mission is to revolutionize youth mentorship by intentionally raising organizational standards and delivering a high-quality program that provides youth substance, strategies, and practices that will prepare them for the 21 Century workforce and social engagement.
HISTORY
2014 - 2017:
- Founded by educators Richard Jack III and Antanus Pullum.
- Officially became a 501c3 nonprofit.
- Expanded to serve youth and families in Hawaii and Washington.
- Launched Ladies by Choice for young ladies in Hawaii and Southern Nevada.
- Expanded to South Central Los Angeles.2018:
- Increased footprint in Las Vegas.
- Served 5 schools, reaching more than 150 youth.
- Introduced the Ladies By Choice program in the Clark County School District.
2019:
- Introduced Ty’s Place, a safe space for youth.
- Became a central hub for partner organizations, offering training and services to youth.
2020 - 2021:
- Turned locations into Learning Hubs during the National Pandemic.
- Provided virtual mentoring during COVID-19.
2022:
- Resumed mentoring services, serving 200 youth weekly across 5 schools.
- Added a Personal Development Curriculum and one-on-one coaching to youth services.
2023:
- Expanded services into Middle Schools, serving 4 Elementary Schools and 1 Middle School.
- Served over 230 students weekly for 14 weeks, reaching even more young minds.
